Our Team

Resiliency Road is made up of mental health professionals focused on providing a welcoming therapeutic environment for adults in Texas.

Brandi Brittain, LCSW-S

With a heartfelt commitment to supporting individuals on their journey, Brandi is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor in Texas, bringing her rich experience in practice since 2016. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Social Work from Stephen F. Austin State University, equipping her with a solid foundation to understand and guide her clients through life's challenges. She has worked in hospice, inpatient and intensive outpatient programs, in skilled nursing facilities providing individual counseling to residents, and in private practice.  

Brandi employs Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness techniques to address issues such as anxiety, depression, anger, and life transitions. Her goal is to equip you with valuable tools—like relaxation techniques, coping skills, effective boundary-setting, and anger management strategies—that empower you on your journey toward a fulfilling life. She is dedicated to creating a warm, open, and safe environment where clients can share their thoughts and feelings without judgment, fostering a genuine partnership in their personal growth. Remember, you are the hero of your own story, and Brandi is here to help illuminate your path. 

In her free time, she enjoys spending time reading the Bible and other nonfiction books, listening to podcasts, spending time with her family and friends, nurturing her love of music as a former vocalist and instrumentalist, watching movies, spending time in nature, writing, and learning about history.

Jacob Thomas, LMSW

With a deep commitment to helping individuals navigate the complexities of mental health, Jacob is a Licensed Master of Social Work under the supervision of Brandi.  He has been in this field since 2017.  He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Social Work and has worked in hospice, inpatient and intensive outpatient programs, and in private practice.  Jacob specializes in stress management and guiding clients through life transitions.  In addition to individuals, Jacob also helps couples with his Gottman 1 certification.  He can also assist with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) counseling techniques to improve your mental health.

Jacob understands that life can be challenging, and it is his mission to help you find effective ways to integrate mindfulness and coping strategies into your journey. Together, you and Jacob will explore how to process symptoms of anxiety and depression, as well as the feelings associated with grief and loss. Building rapport and creating a safe space for the work together are Jacob's top priorities. 

In his free time, Jacob enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, exercising, cooking, painting, and drawing.  He loves movies, anime, running in the park, church, and gaming.
